Monica graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (AECC) in 1991 and worked for some time in Southampton with her father and brother, both chiropractors.

After moving up to Scotland in 1995 she has worked in the Borders and in the Edinburgh area. She currently lives in Edinburgh with her husband, also a chiropractor. She enjoys hill walking, traveling, reading and has a love of animals.
