Since 1981, she has been involved in the fitness and health industry, working in both private and local authority centres.
As an Advanced Level 3 Instructor, she specialises in treating various conditions, such as arthritis, asthma, obesity, pre-and post natal problems, diabetes and hypertension (HBP) An Integral part of the Personal Training Sports Diploma (gained in 2005 with Premier Training International) is the prevention and treatment of sports related and over use injuries.
A Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist with Scotia and a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals, similar to other members of the team at Scotia she works on a variety of muscular skeletal and joint problems.
Her hobbies of running, cycling, hill walking and weight training give her practical knowledge of causes of injuries and she knows that quick, professional advice and treatment can obtain excellent results, allowing the patient to return to training quickly and safely.
She enjoys her work very much and at Scotia treats patients of all ages and abilities from armchair athletes to serious competitors.It's a good feeling to help someone gain maximum fitness and to enjoy life to the full free from pain and able to perform.
